The 30-man Winnebagoland Barbershop Chorus, under the direction of Larry Umbreit, is active year round and has its annual show in March. During the summer on 3 or 4 non-consecutive Sundays, we visit various local churches and sing two songs. It's not unusual for us to visit and sing at 10 churches on a Sunday morning. Toward the end of the summer we perform at the EAA convention held right here in Oshkosh. In early December, we host a special Christmas show annually with all the proceeds going to local charities.

Our group prides itself in its many service activities and giving back to the community. On an annual basis, we award college scholarships for students majoring in music education, provide funding for high school students attending Young Men in Harmony Camps, and pay for hearing aids and assistive listening devices for needy children having hearing impairments. Last year the Winnebagoland Chorus was responsible for over $10,000 in donations, in support of service projects.

Our chorus is available to perform at special events (e.g., company and private parties, conventions, special church functions, nursing homes, assistive living centers).
